Privacy Policy

At Weilo we care about your privacy. This policy explains what data the Weilo app (app.weilo) collects, how we use it and what control you have over it.

The essentials: you can use Weilo in guest mode without creating an account or providing any personal data. We only collect data when you choose to sign in or use features that require it. We don’t show ads and we don’t sell your data.

1. Who we are

Weilo is a fitness and training application. The data controller is the Weilo team. For any privacy question, write to support@weilo.app.

2. What data we collect

Only the data described below is sent to our servers. In guest mode, your data is stored only on your device.

Account data (optional)

If you sign in with Google or with email and password, we collect your name, email address, your Google account identifier, your profile picture (if any) and an internal user identifier. Your password, if you use that method, is stored encrypted and never in plain text.

Health and fitness data

Your training records: routines, exercises and sets (weight, reps, RIR, notes), body weight, body-fat percentage, body measurements and readiness check-ins (sleep, stress, energy). This data syncs to the server only if you’re signed in.

Purchases

If you subscribe to Weilo PRO, we process your subscription status. Payment is handled by the app store (Google Play / App Store) and the subscription is managed via RevenueCat. We don’t have access to your card details.

Notifications

A device identifier (push notification token) to send you alerts, such as the end of a rest timer or messages from your coach.

Usage analytics (anonymous)

Usage events identified by a random install ID, not linked to your identity, email or account. They help us understand which features are used and improve the app. You can turn this off at any time under Settings → Share anonymous usage statistics.

Weight suggestions from aggregated data

When you pick a machine you have never used, Weilo can suggest a starting load. That suggestion is computed from the sets Weilo users log: we take the median estimated strength per exercise and group it into bands of sex, experience level, height and body weight.

You never see another person's data, and they never see yours. A band's value is only published once it contains at least 20 people; below that threshold nothing is shown. Your sets feed those aggregates in the same way other people's aggregates help you.

Data that stays only on your phone

Your app settings (theme, language, weight unit) are stored on your device only.

In guest mode, nothing leaves your phone: the database is local and encrypted. Once you create an account, your profile (body weight, height, date of birth, sex and experience level) and your training history sync to our servers so you can reach them from any device and recover them if you switch phones.

3. How we use your data

We don’t use your data for advertising and we don’t sell it.

5. Optional and future features

Some optional features may process additional data only when you enable them. For example, the coach–athlete chat may process the messages and images, videos or voice notes you share. Such processing is governed by this same policy.

6. Security

We encrypt data in transit (HTTPS/TLS). On your device, the local database is encrypted (SQLCipher) and session tokens are kept in the operating system’s secure storage.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by following the instructions on Delete your account.

8. Minimum age

Weilo is intended for people 18 and over.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We’ll post the current version here with its update date.
